1. Due to phenomenal test scores over the past three years, RHHS lunch periods have been increased by 10 minutes. This is open to all students except freshmen. This reward will take place starting May 5.
2. A new super Walmart is coming to Roch Hill in May of 2006. Walmart feels like this community is growing enough to fit 2 super Walmarts in the town, but some community members feel that this will hurt the local buissness. There will be a town meeting over the debate wether they will build a new Walmart or not.
3. 6th grader, Napoleon Dynamite, is said to be a genius by Mr. Fred George. Mr. George wants principal Mobely to enroll Napoleon into high school early to help him be better prepared for medical school.
4. A survey released yesterday by the Child Abuse Prevention Center in Baltimore, shows surveys and statistics how child abuse/neglect has risen significantly over the past year. More than half of the number of kids who died half of the were under the age of 1.
5. Awakened by the smoke and flames, Kathy Mahoney woke up to find her house on fire on Monday early morning. The firefighters came and put out the flames and later stated that the fire started by a lighted cigarette on a sofa.
Watch for spelling errors. Also, let’s make sure we eliminate unnecessary words such as ‘that.’
