The topic of my article is over the Rangers pulling out a win over the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 1 of the American League Conference Series.  The title of my article is:  “Rangers Surprise Again, Take Game 1 Over Blue Jays”.

The Rangers win the first game of the ALCS.  The Rangers lost over 90 games last year with the worst record in baseball, and then before the first game of the season the Rangers lost 2 star pitchers, Derek Holland and Yu Darvish, due to injuries.  On August 2. the Texas Rangers were 8 games back from the Houston Astros, then they went on a huge win streak to pull ahead into first place about 2 weeks ago.  Ever since this win streak started, the Rangers were not going to slow down to any challenge, which was proven in this first game against the Toronto Blue Jay’s, even with Cy Young candidate Davis Price on the mound.  The Rangers absolutely creamed Price, by Chorinos and Odor both smothering deep homers.  The Rangers were definitely the underdogs in this series, but they proved that they can compete with one of the most talented teams in all of baseball with their 5-3 win over the Blue Jays.

This makes me feel a lot more confident about the Texas Rangers, especially after they lost their star veteran 3rd baseman, Adrian Beltre, due to back stiffness and still pulled off a win.  I believe that if the Rangers can win this next game, then they are in good shape to win this best of 5 series.  The reason is that there is only one more game in Toronto and then they will play 2 games in Arlington.  Today in Toronto the amount of Blue Jays fans were 10 times as much as there were Rangers fans attending the game.  At home the Rangers have one of the best records in baseball since their fan attendance is also one of the highest in baseball.  This affects me because this means that I will be able to watch at least 4 more games of the Rangers performing to their fullest this baseball season.

I know for a fact that all the Rangers fans are going to be going nuts to night because the Rangers beat the Toronto Blue Jays against their best pitcher.  This is going to be all over the news, just because the Rangers had a win probability under 40% going into game one.  The term that baseball fans have called the Texas Rangers ever since they made it to their first world series appearance when their first game was in the AL wild card, is the “Underdogs”.  The Rangers motto these past 2 years has been #NeverEverQuit.  This means that they may not have the best talent, but they won’t ever stop putting in the hard work.  Since people might just call this first game a lucky win, the Rangers will have to prove to the critics that it wasn’t luck by winning again tomorrow.  The Rangers will pitch Cole Hamels, who has a record of 7-1 and an ERA at 3.66 ever since he joined the Rangers.  The Blue Jays will be pitching their youngster Marcus Stroman, who hasn’t pitched that much this year, but when he did, he made the best of the opportunity.
