Cole Hamels was outstanding on the mound today. Earning his fifth consecutive win for the Rangers. Also during this amazing performance by the Rangers Prince Fielder hit his 22nd home run of the year, as the Rangers go on to beat the A’s 8-1. With this win it puts the Rangers 3 1/2 wins up over Houston, who they play a 3 game series against next.

This tells me and all the other rangers fans out there that the Texas Rangers are on a roll and they don’t plan on slowing down. This makes me believe that the Texas Rangers, in the first time in over 3 years, have a great shot at the playoffs. If the Ranger wind up winning at least 2 of the 3 games against Houston, then they will have clinched their division to go to the playoffs. This surprises me that the Texas Rangers who weren’t even supposed to be good this year beat a team who was supposed to be one of the better teams. It would be great to see the Texas Rangers contesting in the playoffs this year.

This has a great affect on all of the Ranger’s fans throughout the world. The reason is that the Texas Rangers after losing their head coach, Ron Washington, who had lead them to 2 World Series appearances in a row, left the team due to family issues. Then inexperienced coach, Jeff Banister, joined the club this year, and is doing great things so far. This tells the world that the Texas Rangers are a lot stronger and competitive team than people thought they were going to be. After the Rangers had the worst record in baseball last year after owner Nolan Ryan left, lots of people lost trust in the Rangers. Now the Rangers are showing us that they are a different team than they were last year, by having one of the best records in baseball. Wouldn’t it be nice to see the Rangers having another great playoff run like they did 3 years ago. Well, we’ll see how they finish up the season to see if the Texas Rangers will make the playoffs.
